My kids are forever finding ways to blow my mind.
My 8 year old son has developed a nickname at shcool: Fro. See the picture and you’ll understand why. We woke up early this Saturday before heading out to watch a local triathlon and this conversation followed our morning hugs and kisses.
Me: do you want to take a shower before we leave?
Alex: Do you have any hair products?
Me: Like gel? Yes, I do.
Alex: But the hair products that I use at Mom’s are imported….
Me: Oh? Imported. From where?
Alex: France I think. Wait, where is Biolage from?
Me: Not sure, but I think I have Herbal Essence.
Alex, pausing in disappointment: I think I’ll just take a shower then. Shampoo and conditioning will have to do.
Apparently, he takes the responsibility of living up to his nickname very seriously.

Yes….how we love our Fro….actually, we thank the parents of Fro who allow us to nickname their kid Fro..;)
Long live The FRO! It’s very Captain Caveman-esque.
Captain Cavemaaaaaaaaaaaan!
love this post. I read this 3 times and still can’t get tired of it. And I’m a huge fan of Alex! #TeamAlex
No doubt, Diane. When I grow up, I want to be as cool as he is!
Well at least we know he has an image to uphold and he takes that very serious. It’s too adorable for words. LOVE
Sunday’s conversation:
Alex – Oh no! I think I forgot my hair products at Dad’s!
Me – You can use the Suave.
Alex – You ARE joking, right?
He doesn’t get it from me!
Well, for his Bday, I think I will present him with a swag travel bag of hair products that he can take with him wherever he goes..problem solved..:)
